The Illinois Valley Wheelm’n was formed in 1971 simply for the sheer enjoyment of cycling and the desire to share our good times with others, including you! The club’s efforts focus on promoting, supporting, and encouraging cycling activities around the Peoria area. With a keen eye on safety and bicycle advocacy, the club presents the No Baloney Bicycle Ride each year. The profits generated from this ride help support our efforts.
In 2021, the club began partnering with AMBUCS as well as EP!C, supporting their missions to provide mobility and independence to community members with disabilities.
In prior years, a portion of the profits from the No Baloney Bicycle Ride have been donated to the Lincoln Library Summer Reading Program. In 2018, with the proceeds from the 2017 No Baloney Ride combined with the support of Bike Peoria, ADM, Afro American Fire Fighters of Peoria, and Officer Daniel and Tiffanie Duncan, the Lincoln Library was able to award 77 bicycles and helmets to these wonderful young readers. The smiles tell the story…
